Esmeralda County Repository Oversight Program
Esmeralda County borders and contains part of Death Valley National
Monument. Esmeralda County, once the largest county in the new Territory,
is now the fifth smallest county in Nevada (ahead of Lyon, Douglas, and Storey
counties and Carson City) and accounts for 3.2 percent of Nevada’s
total surface area of 110,540 square miles
