Historic Goldfield High School opened with a ceremony and informal dedication on November 18, 1907 "after which some 400 pupils were assigned to their grades and the work of instruction commenced. A score of more new enrollment t's were made." It was open until 1952.

"The dedication consisted of the "raising of the flag over the building for the first time and the releasing of two snow white doves from the furls of the emblem as it took its place on the staff. The hundreds of pupils of the school gathered on the avenue below, raised their voices in the inspiring air of "America" as the two birds winged their flight across Goldfield."

There is an effort underway by the "Goldfield Historic High School" to raising money for it's restoration.
